Announcing Zenbe Lists

screenshot chromed Announcing Zenbe Lists I’m proud to announce that we’ve launched a new service, “Zenbe Lists”. Zenbe Lists allows you to quickly create lists of items and share them with your friends  We’ve built two great ways to access the service.  For starters, there’s lists.zenbe.com, our best-of-breed web interface that can be used from anywhere to access and manage your lists.  When you share a list with someone, they get to use this same interface, even if they don’t have a Zenbe account .

But it gets better!  We’ve built a snazzy-yet-simple iPhone app.  Just install the “Zenbe Lists” app on your iPhone directly by searching for Zenbe in the App Store or from the Zenbe Lists iTunes page (requires iTunes).

When you share a list with someone they don’t need an iphone, they don’t even need a Zenbe account.  For example, check out my “Items For Everyone” list.  Just click the link and *bingo* you’re viewing (and editing) my list. Pretty cool, huh!

Like our webmail service, Zenbe Lists is free.  You can use your existing Zenbe account to login or create a new account to get started.  To find out more watch the demo video or visit the Zenbe Lists Forum.

(P.S. We’ve been getting tons of great early feedback, which we really appreciate. Lots of great feature requests and bug reports.  I’ll be posting a FAQ in the forums soon to cover the most common requests and issues we’re seeing.  Thanks for all the great support!)

This iphone app rocks but I found a few bugs. First, the area that is “clickable” around the “sync” button is larger than the actual button which makes it easy to accidentally hit. Also, if you check an item and it goes to the bottom of the list, you can’t always scroll to the bottom of the list to UNCHECK it since the list will spring-scroll back to the top. PLEASE fix these bugs because this app otherwise is incredible.

Awesome service!!! I use the lists to manage maintenance items (work orders) for approximately 30 properties. This service allows me to stay on the same page with my team at all times in real time. As I/ we complete work or add new items that come in on a daily basis, we’re in constant sync. Each of my lists are an individual property, so at a glance of my iPhone I can see the number of tasks I must complete at each property. Zenbe lists was made for me. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you so much and keep up the great work!!!

just want to say thanks to the great developers. Zenbe lists is a great app and service. I run a small web development business in the Dallas area and use zenbe lists on my touch to keep track of my tasks for my clients accounts.

I have tried countless times to establish an account. A lot of wasted time. Keeps coming back with 2 new security words.

I just want to say well done on the creation of a great iPhone app. I use it to manage maintenance projects at 2 properties, work tasks and to keep track of My crimbo shopping. I look forward to future updates. This is by far the most useful ‘task’ app I have ever had on a mobile phone.

Neil Kyker, I had the same problem. However, I decided to try to sign in with the user name and password I was trying to register, and I was able to. So your account may be there even though you got an error.

This is a great app. Thanks.

    great app
minor snags, but well thought out as well as the functionality with web site.
I am evaluating this product for our small company and have 2 questions for developers.
any idea on the time line for merging lists from i phone with the main page lists as opposed to 2 instances from lists. zenbe?

also any thoughts on the possibilities of more than “1 account” instance on the iphone app so that one could maintain business related tasks seperate from home “honeydoo” lists.

    Great app again, thanks
    dave

Great app guys. 2 things to add to the dev pot that would make the iPhone app awesome.
    1. If the due date function would pop-up a reminder like in outlook.
    2. If you could have a counter type function on the iPhone home page in the same fasion as you have 5 emails, you have x number of items incomplete within your lists.

    Once again, great app!!
    THANKS

got zlists for iphone, prefer its stylish non-legacy interface, however, for those who don’t need to share, there are other important functions missing, such as numeric task prioritizing and same-screen task deletion, classic and basic features whose absence suggests more focus on fashion over function. but the cologne oversplash can really be perceived on the splash screen. nice as the design is, it can be watemarked as a screen fixture elsewhere-feels more Windows-booting-up than PDA-esque. we need function over fashion.

how do you share list from iPhone to iPhone?
