Site slowness update
September 8th, 2008 by Tom Alison · comments · http://blog.zenbe.com/yfjkkThe responsiveness of the site should be much better now. We tweaked some options on our web server that allow it to serve connections more efficiently.
One of the side-effects of this server optimization is that it caused a bug with our rich-text email composer in the Safari browser. We’ve temporarily disabled rich-text email editing in Safari until we fix the issue, which we’re estimating at 2-3 days. We’re sorry about the inconvenience. Rich-text email composition still works fine in Firefox and Internet Explorer.
Just a quick thanks Guys.
Glad to see that browser query at opening screen can now be disabled.
I use Iceape ( the continuation of the Mozilla Suite. ) and aside from some rich editing funnies when I last used it all works brilliantly.
The layout is so clean & intuitive – a real pleasure to use.
So- Many Thanks

Thank you.
I’ve been recently been trying Google’s Chrome (been working well with ZenBe, so far..), and the “browser not supported” was kinda annoying… glad to see the checkbox to bypass that warning.
I’m happy with my Zenbe email adress, and so like it! All the features are great! My only sadness, is, that as I have now my laptop broken, I have to use inernet caffe-s for checking my mails, and go far away from my home, because somehow all internet caffe-s using only IE6… Just simply dun understand why.. so, now it’s the first time I feel that it would be nice, if it would work even with IE6…
Zenbe works fine for me in Chrome, too. Also Iceweasel (Firefox in all but name). Maybe these could be removed from the unsupported browser list? I’m a big Zenbe fan, appreciate its features and convenience wherever I go, and recommend it to everybody I know. Keep it up!
Whatever you guys do I’m OK. But please upload emoticons!!!! It’s so cool!!! Yahoo has it. I want it in Zenbe, please, please!!!!!!!
Safari AND chrome! I am positive that you have many Chrome users (should I write “testers”? maybe…)
I have sending problems with Chrome (recipient receive my e-mails several times) and now I cannot access the RichText format and I cannot use “zenbe this” anymore which is the most annoying…
I want to use Zenbe and Chrome, guys…please…
What about a zenbe app for CHrome? I’m joking (sort of…)
I recently started using Zenbe, mainly for e-mail. There are things I like about it – no ads! – but a few things I don’t:
1. The subject lines of my incoming messages often get cut off. They get cut off on my inbox page that lists all my messages and they get cut off when I click on the message to see it in detail. Are you planning to fix this? I would say it’s a pretty big problem to never be able to see the whole subject line of some messages – or maybe there’s some trick to adjusting the layout that I’m not aware of?
2. When I’m composing a message and then I decide I don’t want to and I click the Back button, I get taken back to my e-mail login page instead of to my list of messages. Is this another bug that’s going to be fixed?
Amanda,
I cant give you the answer to your problem #2.
I used to have the same problem.
When you want to ‘go back’ in zenbe mail
DO NOT click on your back browser button.
Instead in your left navigation bar above the
inbox will be a ‘BACK TO ………’ to click to take
you back to what you were doing before.
Great work folks.. Finally an email program that is comprehensive and thorough.
I won’t hesitate to pay for this type of an email svc. Keep up the good work.
Hi there,
I’m not sure if it’s Zenbe, or my friend’s Qwest mail account… but today I got an email dated 01/01/2000 when it should have been dated for 9/15/2008. Is there any way of knowing if this is a problem with my Zenbe or with my friends email server? Thank you very much.
Also, I really love Zenbe. I would be willing to pay for this service. I hope you guys can advertise more and get more people to join. This is truly the best email service I’ve ever used.
