Vote

I vote in every election, and here in New York City they make it very hard to even figure out when  some minor elections are, and impossible to figure out what you are voting for.  Few people here even realize we vote on judges!

While I vote often, I can’t get excited about it. This South Park episode sums up my attitude, most of the time.

If you haven’t noticed, this American Presidential election seems different. We seem to have two different people, with very different opinions, strategies, and agendas.

Wherever you stand on the issues you care about, please make  sure you are registered, make sure you do your homework, and be sure to Vote!

Downunder in Australia, we are following the US Presidential race with fascination and a good deal of discussion.

But even more fascinating to me is that you guys vote in your judges (and sherrifs?) and I find this extraordinary! Do the candidates need to have any legal qualifications or can they be just anyone?
