Zenbe Mail Maintenance: 10/2 4am – 8am Eastern Time

September 29th, 2008 by Tom Alison · comments · http://blog.zenbe.com/ckjyp

This Thursday, October 2nd, we’re going to perform maintenance on the Zenbe.com site and have some downtime. The site will be down between 4am and 8am Eastern Time, although if we get the maintenance done sooner we’ll definitely bring everything up earlier.

During this maintenance window we’ll be upgrading some servers as well as introducing some new features. During this time you won’t be able to login to the site nor use external mail clients like Apple Mail or Thunderbird, but you will continue to receive email.

This release will introduce IMAP support and we’ll also enable some alpha testers for our conversation view feature that we’ve been working on.

Thanks for the heads up. By the way, awesome service! I put a link to it on my site as well. :-)

A excellent, outstanding service……need to compromise with other browser service. Wish a nice progress.

  3. Yes, I’m very much enjoying Zenbe myself as well. Will plan to do some blog coverage on it in the short term.

You are right, we have to cover Zenbe in our blogs. It is a nice service and I love its design and attention to the user needs. Don’t make Zenbe one of the other web services, just full of options but without an heart.

Oh wow! A GMail beater at last!

Only signed up for this today and loving it already!

Very impressed and glad to see that someone has done what Google should have done with GMail long ago. Congratulations on wiping the floor with them!

I am in love with this service. It will become my main mail account as soon as this goes live from beta.

It has the clean, uncluttered, uncomplicated feel that I like with very cool and unique features. I hope the final version stays true to its origins! :)

Any update how the site upgrade went this morning. I have seen a few differences. Can we get a list once all the updates have been made. Can’t wait to try conversation view. … Tks,

  8. Tom Alison says:

    @Carter,

I’ll provide full details about the update tomorrow. Things went well – we had to patch a few little issues this morning but the site is running smoothly. We’ll start the conversation view alpha test early next week.

I’m a little tired from getting up early today but I’ll write a blog entry tomorrow explaining all the changes.

    Cheers,
    Tom

Thx Tom, that will be great and was the thing I wanted to ask for. Just take your time ;)
